Scope and aims

The main aim of this Advanced Study Institute is to deliver high-level tutorial courses on the latest advances, new challenges and practical applications of advanced optics, focusing, in particular, on emerging quantum technologies, including optoelectronics, photonics, lasers, optomechanics, quantum and atom optics. Implications specific to security will be explored, in the context of broader objectives, encompassing training and economic development. The key beneficiaries will include students, postdocs and young researchers from different universities in Uzbekistan, neighboring countries of Central Asia, Caucasus, as well as from other Partner countries.
